My test could be your test

My test could be your test………this is something that we don’t understand [or conceive].  We don’t see beyond our selves when we are going through things, yet, God can reveal ‘if’ we let Him as we pursue Him in all truth.

Revelation is conceived in our hearts when our minds are set on Christ.  God reveals a full/whole picture ‘when’ we surrender to Him.  But, we have to be teachable and receptive, especially when it goes against our grain, against what we think.  [What ‘we think’ is basically “opinions”.] [God is faithful and true.]

If and when I am going through something, and I lay it out before you, and you don’t know what to do or say, then, don’t you think that you need to go before the Lord and learn?  It’s time to be filled with His Word and with His Spirit.

Also, what is your attitude about my situation?  Are you critical?  Are you a gossip?  Are you just spouting Scriptures like a good Christian, yet it is not the living Word which comes from the mouth of God?  Don’t you know that God sees your heart?  He knows what is there;  and if it isn’t good, then He wants to deal with it;  if it is just ignorance, He wants you to grow.

I, too, go through things, yet, in it all I am still learning and seeing;  God is giving me an understanding of what is going on so that I may teach even as I learn.  We are to be stirred up to be changed…… be changed into the image of God’s Son!  God wants sons!  And the earth is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God!  That’s why it is groaning!  It’s our time!  Grow up!

Yes, I am one to stir.  I am stirred, and being stirred, and His Life comes forth!

Isn’t there a burning desire to know Him more?

Isn’t there some sort of stirring within you?  If not, then maybe you are dead, like dead men’s bones in white sepulchars;  they have rest, but it is not producing anything.

We are to be making disciples………not disciples of men nor of denominations, but making disciples of Christ [the Anointed One and His anointing].

I am making disciples of Christ;  I need no man to follow me, only to follow the Lord.  Is He Lord in your life?  I hope and pray that He Is, for He Is coming soon.

take up your cross

Take Up Your Cross

We are told by the Lord to take up our cross and follow Him, but, alas, many do not.  Why?  They do not want to give up the world!  They do not want to give up self, things, riches, or anything else that has a stronghold on them!  They think that they are free, yet, they are in bondage!

Where’s your heart?  What is it attracted to?  What is it in bondage to?  What are it’s desires?

Where’s your mind?  What is it attracted to?  What is it in bondage to?  What does it see and think on?

We are admonished to be filled with the [Holy] Spirit, to have the Word of God written upon our hearts, to think on those things which are pure, lovely, honest, just, and of a good report.  But, what are we actually filled with?  What are we actually thinking on?  What are our motives?  Out for a good time?!  Out for lustful living?!  Out to please the flesh?!  What about pleasing God?  It is our faith that pleases God.  Faith in Him alone.

We know what we are filled with, because, we see the fruit thereof, and God sees it, too.  We cannot hide from Him;  He knows the deepest part of our hearts and minds!  God knows, God sees.  And He has done something about it by His Word;  Jesus Christ is the Word of God.  He Is our only way out and our only hope!  He has made the way.

How?  By repenting.  That is, turn to Him, and not return to the world.  We may live in this world, but, we are not of this world.  We are born of the Spirit of God when we believe on Him;  His Spirit is in us.  Where have you been taking Him?  What have you been saying?  What have your eyes been seeing?  Yes, we have a sinful nature, but, in Christ we are made holy.  “Be ye holy, for I Am Holy”, says the Lord our God.  We can only be holy as we abide in Him.  Where are you abiding?  What have you been abiding in?

Jesus Christ came to save!  To save us from all that binds, all that hinders.  He came to save us!

The Word of God shows us the way!  The Word of God renews our mind so that we are not servants to sin.  As we abide in Him, we find Life!  We find joy!  It may not be the kind of joy or life that we are looking for, because anything else is temporary.  His life and joy is found only in Him, which is pure and unadulterated;  it/He fills!  Anything else is empty, is dead.

Now that you know, what will you do? what will you choose?  Will you continue down a life that is dull and lifeless?  Or, will you choose Life, which brings forth the cross, because, you will have to lose your life in order to gain Life?  What’s your choice?  Life, or, death?  God gives us that choice, and the fruit of it you will eat.

The choice is yours, choose wisely.  Life, or, death?

You say, yeah, but, isn’t there death in the cross?  Sure there is, BUT, in the cross there is L I F E !  True Life!

The death I am referencing to between Life and death is that there is no eternal life, there is no liberty;  there is only a place in hell, and yes, it is very real, even though many do not believe so.  God says it is so, therefore it is true, for He Is true.

The cross is death, but, it is only temporary for something that is permanent.  We get that which is Eternal!  Praise the Lord!  We lay ourselves down before Him as a living sacrifice, holy because of what the Lord has done for us on that cross that day, for it brought unto us salvation.  It is nothing that we have done, but only of what Jesus Christ has done for us.  We are only holy because of His holiness;  He covers us with His righteousness when we believe on Him who has redeemed us from the law of death, hell, and the grave.  He gives unto us FREEDOM!  Praise the Lord!  And in Him we live, move, and have our being!  Praise God!  In Him there is Life forever more!  amen.

I pray that you will choose wisely, and choose Life, for He Is the only way.

God bless you.

[The words of God are written in the Holy Bible……read it and enjoy for you will see His way and truth and have life as you believe on Him who is faithful and true.  GBU.]

you choose

You choose.

You will either choose to follow Christ, or not.

You will either choose to live according to the world, or not.

What’s your choice:  to be in Christ, or, to be of the world?

It’s your choice…..choose wisely.

The Lord is my Light!

The Lord is my light and my salvation, to whom can I turn?

There is no one, not even the one(s) I love.

There is only One who is faithful and true, and His love is great!

Who is that, you say?

Jesus is the light of my life, and my hope, and salvation.

He loves me, and He loves you…..dearly,

that is why He died on the cross for me and for you!

HE picks me up when I am low;

He fills me when I am hungry,

and gives me drink when I am thirsty;

HE satisfies my soul!

HE is the Lord of my life, and I love Him dearly,

for there is no other place to go!

There are no others who can take His place!

For they only seek their own fill.

But God!  HE loves me…..just as I am!

And He receives me as His own.

For I lower myself and bow before Him,

for He Is Lord, God, and Master;

and most of all Teacher!

I love His Word!

I love the truth that He speaks

for He reveals Himself to me!

He Is the way!

He Is the truth!

He Is the Life!

There is no other way to go!

Blessed be the Name of the Lord Most High!

For He Is great, and greatly to be praised!

Praise His Holy Name!

The Lord Jesus Christ loves you!

God bless you!

-Terry Somerville

There have been many prophecies about a coming move of God that will eclipse all previous ones. Most discussions revolve around the glory and presence of God moving in the land. The desire for revival is at an all time high.

Though much is being said and done, it seems to be mostly prophetic activity. The one basic ingredient that is lacking, and seldom spoken of, is true repentance. This requires a total breaking down of the heart, otherwise we naturally go along in “Christian selfishness”, with all our activity oriented to ourself.

I’m more burdened than ever before over sin in the Body of Christ. In ministry times I find most Christians seem to be seeking a blessing in the meetings. The prayers revolve around their needs and not God’s hearts desire. They experience the power and presence of God, yet leave with unyielded lives. Many Christians know there are issues between them and the Lord and are willing to leave them unchanged. Sometimes if I bring up the state of their heart during ministry they will say “God will change my heart”. In the midst of all the Christian activity there’s no sense of God’s desire for true righteousness.

Out in the community as I work I encounter people who are warm to Jesus, but see the church as irrelevant, or worse…. Today’s church seems to be very much like Isaiah described.

“Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as (if they were) a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near unto God……….. yet on the day of their fasting, they do as they please” (Isaiah 58:2-3)

Here are some of the issues I see standing between us and revival.

1. Power Without Repentance

The church has confused experiencing the presence of God vs a heart being right with God. It is possible for the heart to be unyielded yet still experience the anointing on the natural man! Yet most think if the Holy Spirit comes on them with His power their hearts must be right. The love of God has come with such power over the last number of years and yet I saw many entering in who remained in sin. I asked God about it and the Holy Spirit spoke to me. “I’m sending my love because I want to capture their hearts.” Has it worked?

Jesus warned those who have anointing but work iniquity. How many there are in the church today!

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” -Matt 7:22,23

2. A Back to front Gospel – a problem we have created!

The gospel most Christians believe goes like this. a) believe in Jesus b) ask Him to forgive your sins and come into your life c) He will change you.

The gospel the Bible teaches is

a) repent and believe first (change your life) b) God will forgive your sin and come into your life c) Walk with Him in newness of life

The gospel has a clear condition of turning from sin first, and genuinely entering into a righteous life. It seems most of the church is missing this. NO this is not salvation by works, this is repentance! We are forgiven and saved from sin because of the cross. Our righteousness cannot save us. But it is required! From Genesis to Revelation! Look at the gospel the church preached.

Luke 24:47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord;

3. Confession is Not repentance

Here is another common error. Being sorry at the altar and asking God to forgive is NOT repentance. It is confessing sin. We have mixed this up. To confess our sins is simply to acknowledge the truth about our condition and ask God to forgive us. Repentance is a genuine turning from the heart which “bears fruit befitting repentance”.

4. Genuine Conversion Results in A Holy Life

Away with this garbage of continuing in sin but saying we are “immune” because of Christ. Sin’s power to reign is actually gone from us because of the cross. (Romans 6) Because of this we are warned not to live in sin. We choose!

Can we imagine the judgment day, and on this side is one who sinned not knowing Christ, and on the other is a Christian who continues in the same sin as the first man. Will the Lord be unjust? Will the cross be a mockery? Or does the Lord expect real righteousness to be the reward of His suffering?

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life.” Galatians 6:7,8

5. The Changed Heart is Man’s Responsibility, But God’s Activity

Most Christians are waiting for the Lord to change their hearts. God is waiting for us to “rend our hearts” and to “make for ourself a new heart”

Joel 2:12- “Yet even now, saith Jehovah, turn ye unto me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto Jehovah your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.”

“Cast away from you all your transgressions, wherein ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?” Ezekiel 18:31

This is the same Ezekiel who says the Lord will give a new heart and a new spirit. How is it possible? Does the new heart come from God or us? It is both. Here is an example:

There is a man with sickness unto death. He goes to the doctor who gives him medicine. He takes it and is well. What made him well? The man did because he went to the doctor, the doctor did because he treated the man, and the medicine did as well because it killed the disease. The new heart is our responsibility, but we have left out that part out of the gospel. It must be returned for revival preaching to work.

New Heart Ingredients

a) Conviction of sin, righteousness and judgment by the Holy Spirit. Only this will break into the deep levels needed for repentance. This requires praying Christians and righteous preaching. Surely if the Lord is anointing us with power for healing He will bring this clear promise of the Spirit.

“He will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment” John 16:8

b) The true condition of the selfish motives of our life are seen, and wrestled down. As Finney said “the fountains of sin must be broken up”. If believing the gospel is only head knowledge about Christ, it is doubtful conversion ever took place! It must be a matter of the heart. For out of the heart springs all the issues of life!

c) The Holy Spirit enters in and God pours His own love into our heart! This is the point! The Love of God Himself is put into our heart. The same love that motivated Jesus becomes the motivation of our hearts. (John 17:26 Rom. 5:5) Check it out. When the revivalists broke through they had a radical filling with Gods love!

Here are Finney’s own words:

“No words can express the wonderful love that was shed abroad in my heart. I wept aloud with joy and love; and I do not know but I should say, I literally bellowed out the unutterable gushings of my heart. The waves came over me, and over me, one after the other, until I recollect I cried out, ‘I shall die if these waves continue to pass over me.’ I said, ‘Lord, I cannot bear any more;’ yet I had no fear of death.”

Yes, we need a mighty revival. As I check out the old time revivals and go right back to the preaching of the bible I see a common denominator. The preaching of the righteous demands of a Holy God, accompanied by mighty convictions of the Holy Spirit. This produces deep conversions and holy, power filled living. This, and ONLY this, impacts and changes the community with the Kingdom of God.

Right now we are living in a time of theories. “Revival this, Kingdom that, Prophetic this, Apostolic whatever.” The world is longing for the revival we need!

Did you know God sets goals?

Monday, January 10, 2011

God plans to bring all of history to its goal in Christ. Then Christ will be the head of everything in heaven and on earth! Ephesians 1:10 (GW)

Over the past few days we’ve talked about seeing things with the eyes of faith:  How could this year really be different from last year? How could this decade really be different from the last ten years?

Before you can ever accomplish anything meaningful in life, you have to see what God sees so you can see what God can do in your life. Once you are able to see what God can do, then you have to believe he will really do it. You have to believe he can help you make the changes you need to make. If you don’t believe change is possible, you won’t even make the effort to change. But once you believe you can actually change, then you will be able to set faith goals.

Setting goals is a part of spiritual discipline. It’s not just a good idea; the Bible says you need to set goals in order to grow in your faith. Goals stretch you and help you become all God wants you to be.

Setting goals is a spiritual discipline is because God sets goals. Did you know that? God sets goals, and so as you mature in Christ-like character, you will need to set goals. God has goals for history that have not happened yet. God has goals for his family — the church — that have not happened yet. God has goals for your life that have not happened yet.

The Bible says God plans and so we know that planning is spiritual. God planned out the universe and the more we scientifically study it, the more we realize how well planned it actually is.

The Bible says God plans to bring all of history to its goal in Christ, all of life is moving forward to a destiny. One day Jesus Christ is coming back and every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. One day God is going to close down the books on earth and start a new heaven and earth, and “Christ will be the head of everything in heaven and on earth!” (Ephesians 1:10 GW)

God is a God who sets goals, and he expects you to set them too. Like the Apostle Paul, he wants us to say, “I do not run without a goal. I fight like a boxer who is hitting something—not just the air.” (1 Corinthians 9:26 NCV)

My Heart, Not Masks

My Heart, Not Masks

Prophetic Word by Lana Vawser

Manasseh Christian Ministries

28th February, 2010

Repost: Jan-7-2011

“Remain in Me and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me. I am the Vine, you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me, you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers…..If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted. When you produce much fruit, you are My true disciples, this brings great glory to My Father” – John 15:4,5,6A,7,8

My Beautiful Church, how I love you. How I have called you as My own and desire to take you deeper and deeper in Me. I long to show you areas of My heart that will leave you in awe of Me at depths you have never known. There are depths of My heart My Church that I am longing to pour out into your hearts through revelation, but many are not drawing close.

My Church, many of you are wearing masks, masks that find identity, comfort, significance and strength in ‘titles’, ‘positions’ and ‘ministry’. Oh My Church, hear My call to you. Come to Me, lay down the masks, the performance, lay down the striving, lay down the false securities and come to Me, and let Me show you who you REALLY are.

Many of you are soothing deep wounds of the past and insecurities through titles, wearing the masks of your callings, your positions, your ‘doing’, but I am calling you to find your healing, the balm to soothe your wounds, your significance in ME. Who you are in Me!!!

The enemy is truly seeking now to catch many leaders and arising leaders in pride. The enemy is doing all he can right  now to distract many leaders with performance, with control, with self-promotion, and it is drawing many away from deep intimacy with Me.

Many of you do not even realise that this has come about within your hearts. Oh how I love you My Church, but I will not stand for the works of man, ministry and titles being put ahead of Me, and time with Me. Do not entertain idols My Church. Do not allow the enemy to distract you with “self”.

I am calling those of you who are finding yourself in this place to release ministry to Me. Release titles to Me, release dreams to Me, release visions to Me, release callings to Me. Lay down the callings, sow what I have given you back into My hands, and you will see Me give back to you beyond what you can dream.

Intimacy with Me MUST replace your needs to be identified by a calling or position. My Spirit is calling forth now… Seek My heart, do not wear a mask. Come away with Me and refocus. Repent and truly seek My heart. My Spirit will come and bring about great change, a great transformation.

Many of you are finding holes in your armour. You are finding the enemy able to stir you up and ruffle your feathers in a way that you did not expect. This is caused by self-promotion, seeking identity in titles. The comfort found in “positions” held is wearing away at your armour. Oh My Church, do not allow the enemy any ground.

Come away with Me My people and delight again in My presence where no one else sees. Soak in Me before all else, and truly seek My heart. I love you with an everlasting love, and those of who that come and seek Me, walk in repentance and truly lay down all things to Me, you will see a river of revelation open before you and take you deeper.

It is all about intimacy with Me and hearing My heartbeat for you, and for those that you are ministering too.

Do not be part of those that will stand before Me when I ask “who truly knew Me and My heart?” will have no answer. I long for our relationship to deepen more than ever. Self-promotion, idols, wrong comforts, titles, comfort in the ‘doing’ of ministry, will hinder this greatly.

Choose My heart today My people, not the masks!

sheep? goats? which do you belong?

A Prophetic Exhortation

by Dee Hoetmer

April 19-2009

  Repost: Jan 3-2011

Many of My people who think they are sheep are in reality, goats. Not truly knowing My Spirit or Me they operate in soul hype and never come to the fullness of the stature of My Son. Many of these are presently pastoring churches with a certain level of anointing and yea even miracles for I love to honor the name of My Son but they stay in the shallow pools of My Word and anointing and hence the sheep bleat in harmony with these, thinking all is well. But oh My Beloveds when the storms come, both through the natural and through attacks from the evil one, their roots are in the sand and their roots have not gone down to the bedrock of The Rock! Although it pains My heart I have to allow trials and afflictions so that they are forced to push their roots down as a tree seeking the water table in the midst of a drought, or when the greater storms come these will not withstand.

It is all very well to sing My praises, it is all very well to shout that you are an overcomer and have victory but you have not yet been tried by fire to refine your faith as gold. While it is yet day, Beloveds, seek My face AND MY HEART to truly know the heart of The Father, lest you be offended by the trials sent to test you. My trials come to make you stronger that you may withstand the evil day.

Sink your spiritual roots deeper into My living waters. It is not enough to go to church on a Sunday and sing My praises. It is not enough to have touches of My presence; TO WITHSTAND IN THE COMING DAYS YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE MY ANOINTING CONSTANTLY ABIDING IN YOU. The authority, power and anointing you sing about are resident in My overcomers. How can you be an overcomer if you have not been tried in the fires of affliction and loss of all, including your reputation as Job did.  Job truly got to know Me and My heart and My greatness through these very things, therefore Beloveds, do not resist, or blame the devil, but praise Me in the days of your troubles that you may truly become My mighty warrior that you sing about with so much gusto!

Oh My children I do love you with an everlasting love but many of you have not even started to plumb My depths. Do not be a goat and resist the goads but as sheep submit to dying to self. IN THE END OF DAYS IT WILL BECOME CLEAR AS TO WHOM HAVE SUNK THEIR ROOTS INTO THE DEPTHS OF MY SPIRIT AND HAVE BECOME SHEEP, WHO ARE TRULY LED OF MY SPIRIT, AND THE GOATS WHO HAVE FOLLOWED THE INSTINCTS OF THEIR OWN SOULS DESIRES and have only puddled in the shallows and have been content with little of Me!

If you truly desire more of Me, spend time beholding Me and you will be changed from strength to strength and from glory to glory. O My little children do not be content with the way things “have always been” ; with the “status quo” of the church but truly seek My face.

Your loving Father.
